Complete status effect list
Poison
Effect: HP drains each turn (approximately 10% of max HP)
Cure:
- Antidote item (exploration)
- Herbal Medicine (exploration and battle)
- Natural timeout after 3 turns
Prevention:
- Poison Ring (accessory, prevents status application)
- Status-null cards
Enemies that apply:
- Plant (20% chance)
- Poison Slime (40% chance)
- Mud Poison (stackable, heavy version)
- Bio Worm (heavy poison)
Notes: Poison is the most common status in the game. Always carry Antidotes in Plant areas and equip Poison Rings before Mud Poison.
Sleep
Effect: Character cannot act until hit or after 2 turns
Cure:
- Awakening item
- Attack on sleeping character (breaks sleep, damages enemy)
- Natural timeout after 2 turns
Prevention:
- Status-null cards
- Some accessories (rare)
Enemies that apply:
- Bat (10% chance)
- Alraune (AoE, 25% chance)
Notes: Sleeping characters are vulnerable to critical hits. Alraune’s AoE sleep can wipe parties if not prepared.
Blind
Effect: Hit rate reduced by 50%. All attacks have increased miss chance.
Cure:
- Eye Drops item
- Herbal Medicine (also cures)
- Natural timeout after 3 turns
Prevention:
- Status-null cards
- Some head equipment
Enemies that apply:
- Skeleton (15% chance)
- Svalt Demon King (AoE, 20% chance)
Notes: Blind is particularly dangerous for your main attacker. Always bring Eye Drops to the Catacombs and Svalt.
Silence
Effect: Character cannot use skills. Normal attacks still work.
Cure:
- Cannot be cured during battle
- Natural timeout after 2 turns
- Dispel items in exploration
Prevention:
- Status-null cards
- MP-boost accessories (reduces chance)
Enemies that apply:
- Dark Mage (20% chance)
- Cardinal (AoE, 30% chance)
- Mage Reinhardt (single target, 25%)
Notes: Silence disables healers and magical attackers. Ensure Lysithea has a status-null card equipped in Catacombs and Cathedral.
Paralysis
Effect: 50% chance to skip turn each round
Cure:
- Cannot be cured during battle
- Natural timeout after 3 turns
- Some accessories reduce duration
Prevention:
- Status-null cards (partial)
- Paralysis-resistant accessories
Enemies that apply:
- Werewolf (15% chance)
- Tear Beast (AoE, 25% chance)
Notes: Paralysis on your tank can be devastating. Bring status-null cards to Tear Beast fight.
Bind
Effect: Character loses command input for that turn. Different from paralysis — bind is a single-turn effect.
Cure:
- Unbind item (exploration only)
- Repair Kit use (exploration)
- End of turn automatically
Prevention:
- Repair Kit before enemy attacks
- Armor with high durability
Enemies that apply:
- Any enemy with armor-break attacks
- Bind is tied to equipment durability reaching zero
Notes: Bind is not a magical status — it is a mechanical result of equipment degradation. Keep Repair Kits ready.
Curse
Effect: Stat debuff (attack and defense reduced by 25%)
Cure:
- Dispel item
- Herbal Medicine (cures)
- Natural timeout after 4 turns
Prevention:
- Status-null cards
- Some accessories
Enemies that apply:
- Demon (10% chance)
- Norakura (stackable, multiple curses)
- Svalt Demon King (stackable)
Notes: Curses stack. Norakura can apply 3-4 curses in one fight. Dispel immediately or stat drops become severe.
Armor Break
Effect: Equipment durability decreases faster. When durability hits zero, bind triggers.
Cure:
- Repair Kit (restores durability)
- Unequip and re-equip (resets visible durability display but does not restore)
Prevention:
- Male mercenaries (no costume layer = no armor break scene)
- High-durability equipment
- Repair Kit proactive use
Enemies that apply:
- Orc (25% chance)
- Dark Knight (30% chance)
- Mud Poison (common)
Notes: Female characters trigger additional costume layers when armor breaks. Male mercenaries do not — this is why they are useful tanks.

Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers to the questions Imperial Knights players ask first.
How do I prevent poison in Imperial Knights?
Equip a Poison Ring from Protea shop (500G) and carry Poison-Null cards for Mud Poison and Bio Worm fights.
Can I cure silence during battle?
No, silence cannot be cured during battle. Use status-null cards to prevent it. Silence wears off after 2 turns naturally.
What is the best status-null card?
The All-Status Null card (Platinum Rare) prevents all status effects. Otherwise, prioritize Sleep-Null for Alraune and Poison-Null for Spirit Cave.
Why does armor break cause bind?
When equipment durability reaches zero from armor-break attacks, the character enters a bind state and loses their turn. Use Repair Kits to restore durability.
