Imperial Knights equipment and forging
Weapon types, armor slots, strengthening costs, and stat priorities.
Imperial Knights uses a standard RPG equipment system with four main slots: weapon, arm, head, body, and accessory. Equipment can be strengthened through forging at the blacksmith. This page covers the mechanics, material costs, and strategy for equipping your party optimally.
Equipment slots
Each character has five equipment slots:
| Slot | Description | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Weapon | Primary damage source | Restrictions apply (see below) |
| Arm | Off-hand / shield | Varies by character |
| Head | Helmet / hair accessory | Some characters cannot equip head gear |
| Body | Armor / clothing | Main defensive layer |
| Accessory | Ring / badge | Generally unrestricted |
Weapon restrictions
Some weapons have character-specific restrictions:
- Tear’s Durandal — Tear Lamley can only equip the Durandal sword. This is a story-locked weapon; do not waste upgrade materials on it until you confirm it is her final weapon.
- Diana’s class changes — When Diana becomes an Ether Knight, her equippable items change. All equipment is unequipped automatically upon class change. Re-equip after the ceremony.

Forging
Forging allows you to strengthen existing equipment at the blacksmith by spending gold and materials.
Rules
- Currently equipped items cannot be forged. Unequip the item first.
- Forging increases the weapon’s base stats.
- Higher-tier equipment requires rarer materials.
- The cost scales with the current强化 level of the item.
What to forge
Priority for forging:
- Main attacker’s weapon — The largest damage multiplier.
- Healer’s accessory — MP boost or status null.
- Tank’s armor — If you are using a mercenary tank.
Forging every piece of equipment is not necessary. A fully-forged main weapon provides more benefit than several spread upgrades.
Material sources
Materials are obtained from:
- Enemy drops
- Town shops (rare materials)
- Dungeon treasure chests
- Quest rewards
