Card Album Guide

The card album in Imperial Knights tracks every card you have obtained through the in-game gacha machines. Unlike the card tier list, which ranks combat value, this page explains how the album system works, how to complete it, and what happens to your collection when you start a New Game+ run.

Cards are equipable accessories with chibi artwork. They are not party members. The album is a collection log separate from your inventory.

How the gacha works

Item shops in towns contain a gacha machine that spends gold on random card draws. Each spin costs gold; there is no free daily pull. The machine dispenses cards across four rarity tiers:

RarityColorSlot typeAlbum count
Platinum Rare (P)PlatinumCard slot S (1 only)2
Gold (G)GoldCard slot S (1 only)11
Silver (S)SilverCard slot (2)21
Bronze (B)BronzeCard slot (2)92

Platinum Rare cards are limited distribution — they cannot be obtained from the gacha. They were distributed through specific channels such as the developer’s Ci-en membership benefits. The two Platinum cards are:

  • Amatsuka Koyori Card — Doubles EXP gained in battle. Obtained by maxing the H-level.
  • Lilia Card — Doubles item drop rate after battle. Obtained through Ci-en membership bonus.

Card slots

Each character has three card slots:

  • Card slot S — accepts Platinum Rare and Gold cards only. Holds 1 card.
  • Card slot (x2) — accepts Silver and Bronze cards. Holds 2 cards.

Cards must be manually equipped to provide their effects. Unequipped cards in your inventory do nothing.

Completing the album

A complete album requires obtaining all 126 cards across all rarity tiers. This is a collection goal, not a requirement for any route clear.

For practical purposes, the card tier list is more useful — it tells you which cards actually matter for combat. Most Bronze cards are portrait collectors with minimal mechanical benefit.

Farming tips

  1. Focus gold on Repair Kits and Poison Rings before spending on pulls.
  2. Pull until you find a status-null card (sleep, poison, blind, silence), then stop.
  3. Route 3 casino provides extra income for heavy gacha farming.
  4. Save before major pulls if you want to reload for better rarity.

Cards and New Game+

Cards obtained in a playthrough carry over into New Game+. This is intentional — it allows Routes 2 and 3 to benefit from Route 1 pulls.

The album itself also carries over, meaning your collection grows across multiple playthroughs.

Platinum Rare distribution

The two Platinum Rare cards have special acquisition methods:

Amatsuka Koyori Card

  • Effect: Battle EXP gained is doubled.
  • How to obtain: Raise H-level to maximum (level 10).
  • H-level increases by viewing H-events. The same event does not double H-level on repeat viewings.
  • H-level carries over on replay.

Lilia Card

  • Effect: Party item acquisition rate after battle is doubled.
  • How to obtain: Join the developer’s Ci-en and receive as a membership benefit.
  • This card is not obtainable through normal gameplay.

The card album is tracked separately from the recollection gallery. Cards are mechanical equipment; the gallery tracks scenes, story stills, and adult content. Completing one does not complete the other.

For scene-related information, see the gallery guide.

Quick reference

  • Total cards in album: 126
  • Gacha-only cards: 124 (Platinum Rares are exception)
  • Card effects: Status null, stat boost, elemental boost, portrait only
  • Carry over: Yes, into New Game+
  • Required for route clear: No

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the questions Imperial Knights players ask first.

How many cards are in the Imperial Knights album?

There are 126 cards total: 2 Platinum Rare, 11 Gold, 21 Silver, and 92 Bronze.

How do I get Platinum Rare cards?

Platinum Rare cards cannot be obtained from the gacha. Amatsuka Koyori Card requires maxing H-level. Lilia Card requires Ci-en membership.

Do cards carry over into New Game+?

Yes. Both individual cards and the album itself carry over into NG+ runs.

Can I complete the album without spending real money?

Yes for most cards. The Lilia Card requires Ci-en membership, which is a paid subscription. All other cards can be obtained through gameplay.

What is the best card to pull for?

Status-null cards (sleep, poison, blind, silence) are the most practical. The card tier list ranks all cards by combat usefulness.
