Imperial Knights updates
Steam launch, patches, and DLC — what actually changed for English players.
Imperial Knights has two calendars. The Japanese original from Circle Poison (ぽいずん) shipped on DLsite on 1 August 2025, with mobile later that year, a physical PC disc in March 2026, and a DLC pack on 21 August 2026. The English version from Kagura Games launched on Steam on 28 August 2026 (Kagura’s own store listed 29 August). This hub is for people who typed “Imperial Knights update” after buying the Steam build.
Child pages:
- Steam launch notes — platforms, languages, price, what the first week actually included.
- DLC notes — extra guild jobs, extra combat variants, how they sit on each route.
Related: Kagura patch (storefront extra-content zip, not a live patch Tuesday) and official links.
What “update” means in this game
This is a single-player RPG Maker title. There is no seasonal battle pass. “Updates” are:
- A new storefront (Steam/GOG/Kagura).
- A patch zip that restores extra adult content.
- A DLC pack with more quests.
- Occasional Circle Poison bugfix files on Japanese support pages.
If you came from live-service wikis looking for weekly codes, you are in the wrong genre. Gold comes from guild jobs, not from a redeem box.

How to read patch notes without getting lost
Japanese Ci-en / DLsite comments, Kagura’s patch tab, and Steam’s news hub do not use the same nouns. Translate in this order:
- Does it change routes? (Almost never.)
- Does it add guild jobs? → DLC and checklist.
- Does it add gallery / bind modes? → patch and combat flags.
- Does it fix crashes? → controls.
The walkthrough will not be rewritten because a CG was restored. The combat page will be rewritten if a bind mode changes Repair Kit math.
First-week English reality
Steam launched with an introductory discount off $14.99, Positive early reviews on a small sample, and the usual Kagura bundle placements (Circle Poison Bundle with Slave’s Sword 1/2, monthly multi-packs). Ether Knights, three routes, mercenaries, and day/night investigation were already in the Japanese 1.00. English players are not waiting for those systems. They are waiting for how DLC is packaged on Steam and whether the v1.00 patch is required for a given gallery row.
Until Steam’s DLC row says otherwise, assume:
- Base story = complete on unpatched Steam.
- Extra adult gallery = patch.
- Extra hard jobs = Japanese DLC only. Not inside English 1.00.
What we will not do
We will not guess at unannounced Steam sales. We will not invent a 1.01 changelog. When Circle Poison or Kagura post a real file, it lands here and on Steam launch notes. For play advice, go back to guides.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers to the questions Imperial Knights players ask first.
Is the Steam version the newest Imperial Knights?
It is the English 2026 build. The Japanese original shipped in 2025 and already had DLC by 21 August 2026. Check DLC notes for how that pack appears in English.
Do I need to update to play three routes?
No. Three routes are in the base game. See the route guide.
Where is the changelog?
Steam news for app 4353650, Kagura's product page for the v1.00 zip, and DLsite/Ci-en for Japanese hotfixes.
Is this a live-service game?
No. Single-player Windows RPG. No weekly codes and no shared-session seasons.
