What shipped in the English 1.00
From Kagura’s public bullets and the Steam description:
- Diana’s House Ashley plot, Luna missing, Robert dishonored, sorcerer at court.
- Adventurers’ Guild requests, day/night town investigation.
- Turn-based battles, temporary allies, mercenary hires.
- Choose your path — earn the fee or borrow it — which is the three-route split.
- Become an Ether Knight on every path, for or against the court.
- Different crews per path (knights versus assassins, in their words).
Those systems existed in the Japanese 1.00. English is a localization + storefront, not a remake. RPG Maker maps, command battles, and the Spirit Cave ritual are the same loop described in the walkthrough.
What you should not expect from Steam
- Shared sessions or online raids. Single-player only.
- Weekly redeem codes. Any coupon (for example a Kagura checkout code) is a store discount, not an in-game chest.
- Steam Deck verification. Listed unknown at launch.
- Achievements. Not advertised on the app’s feature row at launch. Play for routes, not for a 100% Steam badge.
- Automatic uncensored gallery. That is the Kagura patch conversation.
Bundles at launch
Steam placed Imperial Knights in Kagura monthly bundles and a Circle Poison Bundle with Slave’s Sword, Slave’s Sword 2, Divine Miko Koyori, and And the Hero Was Never Seen Again. Bundles do not change the route files. They only change how much you paid for Diana’s spin-off versus the older games. You still do not need those older games to understand the prologue.
Save compatibility
Steam Cloud is on. Japanese DLsite saves will not magically appear in steamapps. Kagura DRM-free folders are a third tree. Keep them separate unless you enjoy breaking MV global.rpgsave files. Controls covers Cloud timing on a second PC.
Day-one checklist for wiki readers
- Install, F4 fullscreen, close overlays.
- Manor save before the guild.
- Route 1 unless you already know you want the hideout.
- Decide on the patch before you care about gallery percent.
- Do not expect Japanese DLC inside Steam 1.00. Circle Poison’s FAQ: the pack is not included. Kagura is preparing a separate Steam DLC; no date yet.
Launch-week Steam showed 9 user reviews and no score yet (not enough ratings). Kagura’s 29 August news post confirmed the -20% launch. For a longer opinion, the review page exists. For mechanical truth, ignore the recap thumbnails that confuse this game with Warhammer’s Imperial Knights army. App 4353650 is the Kagura RPG.
Japanese copies should be on Ver1.10(NEW) if they still hit combat image errors. That hotfix is a DLsite/FANZA swap, not a Steam patch Tuesday. English owners stay on Kagura’s v1.00 extra-content zip for galleries — see patch.
