Imperial Knights gallery and recollection

How scenes unlock, the card album, and what the gallery actually tracks.

Gallery and Recollection Guide

Imperial Knights has an in-game recollection gallery menu that fills as you play. Scenes range from story stills to adult content depending on your choices and battle outcomes. Understanding how the gallery works helps you decide whether to pursue the Kagura patch, how to collect guild quest scenes manually, and whether your current file will ever see scenes 131 through 142.

This page is not a scene list. We do not publish transcripts. It is a system explainer for players who want to understand the gallery mechanics.

The recollection menu has two categories that behave differently:

Main story scenes — These unlock automatically when you clear a route. Route 1 clear populates scenes from the common route and Route 1 exclusive content. Routes 2 and 3 add their own scene pools when cleared on subsequent New Game+ runs. You do not need to do anything special beyond finishing the route.

Guild quest scenes — These do NOT auto-unlock. To fill these rows, you must take the specific guild request that triggers the scene, then either complete or fail it (depending on the scene). This is true for both base game guild jobs and DLC extra quests. If you want a complete gallery, keep a checklist of which requests you took and their outcomes.

The card album system

The item-shop gacha dispenses cards that behave like accessories with chibi artwork. Cards are tracked in a separate album tab within the gallery. They are not scenes — they are mechanical equipment:

Status-null cards — Block poison, sleep, blind, silence during battles. Practical for the dungeon that applies that status.

Stat-boost cards — Increase a stat on the wearer. The Diana Knight version is a popular pick.

Route-specific portraits — Mostly collection items with no mechanical benefit.

The card tier list ranks cards by practical value. You do not need a complete album to beat any route.

Japanese gallery charts number scenes starting from 1. By the end of Route 1, most players have roughly 130 scenes in the base game. The DLC adds scenes numbered 131 through 142 — those are DLC guild quest scenes and require taking those specific requests.

If your English recollection menu stops at 130, either you have not taken the guild jobs that unlock higher numbers, or the DLC is not yet available on your platform.

What triggers adult content

Adult scenes fall into two categories:

Battle-derived scenes — Triggered when armor-break occurs during combat and the fight ends in a loss or specific conditions. The combat page explains armor-break and Repair Kits. These scenes are not guaranteed on every loss — specific flags and character states matter.

Event-derived scenes — Triggered by story choices, NPC conversations at specific times of day, or relationship flags with party members. Day/night investigation in towns is the main driver here. Talk to marked NPCs at both times when available.

The Kagura patch adds additional adult variants and costume differences to scenes that exist in the base game storefront version.

A complete gallery requires:

Clearing all three routes (for main story scenes). Taking every guild request and either winning or losing as the scene requires. Having the Kagura patch installed for the additional variant scenes. Having the DLC installed and completing those requests (for scenes 131-142).

The checklist tracks guild requests and scene-related flags. Use it alongside a fresh NG+ file if you are pursuing 100% gallery completion.

The gallery is tied to individual save files. A New Game+ file starts with the gallery from your previous clear plus whatever you add in the new run. If you want to preserve an older gallery while experimenting, keep multiple save slots.

Steam Cloud will sync gallery state across PCs if Cloud is enabled. Mixing patched and unpatched saves can cause gallery mismatches — the game loads whatever resources are present in the current install.

Quick reference

Gallery element | Auto-unlocks | Manual collection required Main story scenes | Yes, per route clear | No Guild job scenes | No | Yes — take the request DLC scenes (131-142) | No | Yes — take DLC requests Card album | No | Yes — gacha pulls

For scene-specific triggers and flag conditions, the Japanese wiki charts are the most complete reference. This wiki covers mechanical systems, not scene content.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the questions Imperial Knights players ask first.

How do I unlock all gallery scenes in Imperial Knights?

Clear all three routes for main scenes. For guild quest scenes, manually take each request and fulfill the trigger conditions. The Kagura patch and DLC add more scenes.

Do guild quest scenes auto-unlock after a route clear?

No. Guild quest scenes require taking the specific request that triggers them, win or lose depending on the scene.

What is scene 131 in the gallery?

Scene 131 onwards are DLC guild quest scenes. They require the DLC pack installed and those specific requests taken.

Does the Kagura patch add new gallery scenes?

Yes. The patch adds additional adult variants and costume differences to existing base game scenes.
